Best MLS Goals March-June 2009

Filed Under soccer video goal 2009

the best Major League Soccer goals from March-June 2009. Will do a better and properly-edited video at the end of the season, by the time I’d gotten all the clips I wanted I just added a song and put them together because I didn’t feel like editing. This works for a mid-season recap of the best goals scored in MLS so far. Largely because it’s the only one. ;)

Essian played for a local Ghana League club called Liberty Professionals. He was born 1982 and signed by French club Bastia in 2000. He went for trails at 18. Is that what you call being scouted at an early age?

@MrRelaxedguy2 stupid argument, essien was scouted from an early age, if he had spent the best part of his career in Ghana he wouldn’t have developed as well, however, unlike america, Ghana have the passion for the sport, they just lack the facilities that the mls has

compared to EPL most leagues have difficulty on that score, but saying they suck isn’t fair either.

According to you the league in Ghana would suck (compared to the EPL) but it did produce a player like Essian.

My job takes me to different parts of the world and every chance I get I watch local football/soccer. No MLS doe not suck. But its still got a long way to go too. Its the brutal truth.
Expect criticism guys. Until the US, (or Asia, & Australia) start producing world class players (Zidane, Ronaldo) or becomes more than just a World Cup qualifier but a real title threat, we’ve got to face facts. MLS is moving forward and I for one support it.

It’s going to take time before M.L.S. has a great coaching like Red Auerbach, or Vince Lombardi to give MLS a concervative direction, I would hate to think that mls is directed by a bunch liberals who believe “everyone plays” it needs that concervative edge to be taken seriously

MLS does not suck…its still top of the line players and obviously professionaly skilled…obviously epl is better but it would be appreciated if better terminology was used such as saying the mls is “younger” or “less experienced” or “growing”..come on england and the rest of europe..use some consideration before putting the mls down

yes, and the MLS is also all of FOURTEEN YEARS OLD, compare that to the history of English football and it’s really no wonder the MLS is a (much) lesser league.

MLS does suck compared to epl
